A Strategic Gateway for Global Business
This initiative provides businesses with a direct gateway to South Korea’s thriving industries, particularly in technology, biotech, and advanced manufacturing. At the same time, it offers Daejeon-based companies a seamless entry point into the U.S. market, helping them navigate expansion efforts while tapping into Montgomery County’s diverse and dynamic business landscape in particular its robust infrastructure which supports companies within the life science and technology industries.
A Partnership Years in the Making
The launch of this business center is the result of months of discussions between government officials in Montgomery County and Daejeon. Leaders including Daejeon Mayor Lee, Assistant Mayor Han, and Executive Director Nagy played key roles in bringing this vision to life. Their combined efforts highlight the power of strategic partnerships in advancing international business opportunities.
Montgomery County and Daejeon have maintained a sister-city relationship since 2017, with multiple delegations and trade missions strengthening ties over the years. The establishment of this business center represents a significant milestone, offering a dedicated space for companies to collaborate, expand, and innovate together.
